Event Overview
The Solution-Oriented Public Speaking Competition, held on 17th May 2025 at The Blue Sky Hotel, Skardu, was a resounding success. The event aimed to empower youth by fostering expression, critical thinking, and constructive dialogue, encouraging students to propose practical solutions to pressing social and educational issues in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Event Structure
The competition was divided into two segments:
– Urdu Segment: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
– English Segment: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
A total of 32 talented students participated, delivering insightful and impactful speeches on a wide range of thought-provoking topics.

Chief Guests & Distinguished Attendees
– First Session (Urdu Segment):
– Chief Guest: Mr. Raja Nasir, Youth Minister GB
– He motivated the participants, praised their articulation and passion, and distributed prizes and shields to the winners.
– Coordinator ELMS, Syed Nusrat Hussain, presented a commemorative shield to the minister in recognition of his dedication to youth development and education in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Second Session (English Segment):
– Guest of Honor: Mr. Kacho Zahid Ali, Renowned Educationist
– He awarded prizes to the winners and certificates to all participants.
– Syed Nusrat Hussain expressed gratitude on behalf of ELMS, presenting a shield to Mr. Zahid for his valuable time and support.
Winners & National Qualification:
– 4 outstanding students qualified for the National Competition, which will be held on Ghadeer Day in June 2025.
– Winners received awards and cash prizes, while all participants were awarded certificates.





Closing Ceremony
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Coordinator Syed Nusrat Hussain, who, on behalf of CEO ELMS Sir Imtiaz Ali Rizvi, acknowledged the hard work of participants, guests, volunteers, and the organizing team for making the event a memorable success.
